THE RESCUE PROJECT is a Catholic faith study that was launched in 2022 in the US and it’s been gaining great global traction with now more than 20 countries offering it to increasingly more and more congregations. The reviews by attendees are very positive and the impact in their lives is causing it to expand quickly.
In a world where day to day we are fed with negativity and where we navigate highly charged political and social agendas, THE RESCUE PROJECT takes us back to the spiritual realm where our real story develops as well as our very reason to exist---as proclaimed in the Gospel.
The following are some of the deep questions people continually ponder and for which THE RESCUE PROJECT has been designed to resolutely answer:
- We live by the stories we believe, but is there one objective story that corresponds to reality and truth or are there many multiple subjective stories that we can subscribe to in our lives?
- Why is there something in this universe rather than nothing ----starting with the universe itself and all the way down to our very human existence?
- Why are we here? Is there a real reason or are we by-products of chance?
- Why is the world so messed up, in so many ways? Where does all evil and wrong come from?
- Who or what is our real enemy in life? Is it our politicians, perhaps some groups?
- What about a neighbor, or a family member?
- What, if anything, has God done in the real world and through history to combat the enemy and ensure the “promised restoration of His Kingdom” to its original purpose and glory?
- In all this, do we have a role to play and a mission…Or is it ok to sit on the sidelines, be a good person and let it all play out by itself?
- What is to be our natural response once we clearly understand all of the above?
- How do we get started based on our unique circumstances and virtues?
THE RESCUE PROJECT will dive in to unmask what forces are at play behind our divisions, the deceptions, the chaos and the confusion we experience seemingly more and more daily.
The creators of THE RESCUE PROJECT believe that most people, (even those who go to church weekly) have not yet fully or correctly understood our story, or the EXPLOSIVE news of the Gospel and our unique roles in the plan God has for the world’s salvation.
With that in mind, Fr. John Riccardo (& Team) via THE RESCUE PROJECT series is hoping to light a fire under Catholics to reclaim the world for Jesus… putting us on a mission to ‘sabotage’ Satan’s plan by helping to answer the fundamental questions of faith that everyday Catholics wrestle with and to re-discover the crux of our mission by really understanding what was at stake and what was involved in Jesus’ rescue of mankind.
