Many people wrestle regularly with the question of, “how do we become like Jesus?” Many have tried to be disciples and failed to see lasting change in their lives so this package provides a framework to move into life transformation. This journey invites parishioners into setting a rule of life and practicing intentionality with Jesus weekly, monthly, and yearly.
This journey includes a downloadable guide to help parishioners understand the framework and build their own rule of life. This can become a strong foundation for your parish to integrate their discipleship into every area of their life, and begin to see transformation across your community.
Special thanks to James Pereira of Holy Cross Chaplaincy who created this book and is living it out in his own community.
Everything in this package is ready-made for you to use as is or edit to make it more your own. We've created fully customizable templates in the free-to-use online design tool, Canva. Use all the assets together or pick and choose what makes sense for your community.

Dear Parishioner,
Following Jesus in our everyday lives can be challenging, even when we know it is rewarding. So many things come into play: work, family, trips, staying on top of cleaning, and getting enough sleep! We can often get overwhelmed by all the "things" we have to juggle, and ultimately, we lose sight of what's most important.
I invite you to take a step back to think about the rhythms of your life.
When do you wake up? What do you do with your weekend? When do you have fun with your family or friends? When do you get time to slow down and rest?
Jesus wants to be integrated into all parts of our lives, and by allowing this, we can find more contentment, peace, rest, and deep joy.
But how do we do this?
I invite you to think about the ancient concept of a rule of life. We can look to those like Saint Benedict and see the fruit of ordering life around Jesus. Did you know there's a way to do that in your life, too—even amidst the responsibilities of work, family, and community?
Imagine if there was a way where, even in the hurriedness of life, we could find deep rest. Could we create order and intentionality in every part of our lives?
I am excited to share a fantastic resource called "The Rule of Life Notebook," which is available to you for free. You can access it here.
Please book some quiet time to read through the first few pages to understand what this could look like in your life. The rest of the book includes convenient steps and guides to building a rule of life that makes sense for your life.
No matter how busy, grounded, disconnected, or integrated you may feel, I encourage you to try this book and see what Jesus has for you.
In peace,
(Pastor's name)
P.S. Let me know what you think of the handbook. I'd love to see how you adapt it to your life.
